Knitting - Colorwork Mittens

Three consecutive Monday evenings, Sept. 13th, 20th and 27th from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. Here's your chance to learn colorwork while making a fun pair of mittens. They are worked from tip to cuff. Choose your two favorite colors, a pattern and let go! Knitters must know how to knit, purl, cast-on, bind-off, increase 'n decrease. Reservations required. Materials: Bring two sets of size US 3, 4, or 5 circular needles (depending on the gauge of your yarn), or they can be purchased at the shop ... receive a 15% discount off class materials!

Knitting - Entrelac Scarves!

Four consecutive Tuesday afternoons, Sept. 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th from 1:00 - 3:30 p.m. I have had so much interest in Entrelac knitting that I decided to run an Entrelac Scarf class…Entrelac is a method of knitting small sections of a row at time in one direction until the whole row is completed. Then you work the next row going in the other direction. The result is fun squares that look woven. It's really cool! The first Entrelac class I taught, the group made shawls...I have scaled the project down a little, less knitting, less commitment, not so scary, and better for summer knitting! You must be able to knit, purl, cast on, bind off, and knowledge of increasing and decreasing is very helpful. Reservations required. Materials: Receive a 15% discount off class materials!

Introduction to Knitting Workshop

Saturday, September 4th from 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Learn the very basics of knitting; cast on, knit, purl, and cast off. This workshop will teach the very basics and is designed for those who have never knit or have not knit in a very long time. The focus will be on technique and you will be knitting a sample swatch. Reservations required. Materials: Bring a pair of needles, size 8, 9, or 10, or they can be purchased at the shop, receive a 15% discount off class materials! Yarn will be provided.

Saturday, September 25th from 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Learn the very basics of Crochet; chain, single crochet, double crochet, half-double crochet, etc. This workshop will teach the very basics and is designed for those who have never crocheted or have not crocheted in a very long time. The focus will be on technique and you will be crocheting a sample swatch. Reservations required. Materials: Bring a size “H” crochet hook, or one can be purchased at the shop, receive a 15% discount off class materials! Yarn will be provided.

Open Knitting

Every Thursday Evening from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. On Thursday evenings I host a Stitch ‘n Knit session … unwind with a glass of wine or a cup of coffee with fellow knitters at informal evening knitting sessions. Bring your projects, questions and inspirations (and chocolate) to share. Learn from other knitters in a social setting.	Everyone Welcome!
